Carmen is a global speaker and strategic business leader with more than 20 years of expertise in marketing, research, and thought leadership. As a leader and influencer, she explores what’s influencing workers today and what’s shaping the future of work. As a speaker, Carmen has presented in boardrooms and conference venues worldwide, including as a featured speaker for SHRM, SHRM India, the Human Capital Institute, and as a keynote at Indeed Interactive. Her topics include the multigenerational workforce, equity and inclusion insights, and overall recruiting trends. Carmen was most recently Head of US Marketing at Indeed and has held other strategic leadership and insights positions at top-tier companies. Carmen is passionate about democratizing access and opportunity for marginalized communities. She is a member of Chief, a private membership network focused on connecting and supporting women executive leaders. She serves as New York City Director of WNorth, a community of women leaders and entrepreneurs in North America. She is also a board member of Luminary, a global platform for women, women-identified, and male allies to address systemic challenges impacting women, and the Yleana Leadership Foundation, whose mission is to close the racial wealth gap through college readiness programming.
